Southwest Bell offers ADSL service in Austin. While it may
cost a bit more, I think it would be better than cable,
assuming you're close enough to a switching station (CO for
central office in phone company terms). Certainly worth investigating.

PS We're a small business, would go for ADSL except that
SDSL will be available very shortly, so sorry to say I'm not
speaking from experience yet.
