Hi,

 have had a similar problem with my 23300 exept that mine has the same error
message about the external modem/printer port. I also have no applications
running on it at all including apple talk, I have even reinstalled the
system up to 8.6 then down to 7.6.1 and still I get the exact same problem.
I am thinking it may be a loose/broken connection to that port. I am just a
novice when it comes to hardware problems so I would appreciatte any advice!
