when I first had my g3 card installed by Kevin at MCE in my 2400c, for three
weeks it worked fine until it just died. It would come back for awhile, and
then heat up too much and then die. So I returned it, and as it turned out,
it was a defective card, perhaps a hairline crack that would expand and
contract by temperature. They warrantied the part and replaced it, and I
can't say enough about their abilities to bring back from the dead any laptop
provided it's not beyond repair. I'd send it in if I were you.
good luck
Alan
