I had this problem about three times with my 2400. I just kept
disassembling and reassembling until that darn light went out. Sometimes I
had to remove the screen cable for a few minutes, and sometimes I had to
remove the internal battery cable for a few minutes. It happened to my
friend too. Eventually that light always went out.

Good luck.
