Hello everyone ,
I recently purchased a duo 2300c with 56 megs of ram and a 1
gig hd. I installed system 7.6 with the 7.6.1 patch and everything works
great except for two glitches. When I install the powerport for 500 and duos
modem software i get a this message : software can not be installed because
this is not a powerbook family Macintosh . The next time I reboot I get the
powerport software was not installed because this computer is not running an
appropriate global village modem. An analysis by techtool shows the machine
to be a 2300 with a gestalt I.D. of 124. Any insights anyone may have in
this matter would be greatly appreciated. Also I have a small line towards
the bottm of the screen horizontally across which is multi colored but not
more than a 16th of an inch thick ..... is there a way to fix that ?
