I, too, talked to a rep (at Macworld on Thursday), and she said that it
was unlikely because Sonnet generally only makes upgrades for machines
that are easy to upgrade. However, she did say that R&D has about 12
products in the works that none of them know about yet, so it is possible
- and that it would help to email Sonnet (the marketing division, because
they make these decisions) and let them know of your interest. The only
marketing address I can find is <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (her
title is Marketing Communications Manager).
Seeing as how they can sell a 333-MHz G3 for the same price as Newer's
240-MHz G3 ($399), I think we should press them to make a 2400 upgrade.
With enough demand, money overcomes all problems.
