You have a couple of options: you could fool the installer script into
thinking you have a supported machine with the "Wish I Were" Gestalt
hacking utility, or use Apple's own Tomeviewer utility to extract the files
you need from the Installer Tome that's somewhere on the CD. I'd recommend
the latter; for complete details, I'll direct you to Eric Belsley's essay

The object lesson is that there's a big difference between "will work" and
"is supported", particularly where Apple is concerned.
