there are small tabs on each side of the dock unit that can make removing the 
laptop much easier.  you have to get the hang of it, but once you do, you can 
see how your thumb fits to push the dock while the laptop moves forward.  
It's almost like you are removing the DOCK from the laptop instead of the 
other way around...that way, if the dock drops on the floor, instead of the 
2400,  you are less apt to start shooting into a crowded room, in panic and 
dismay.
