Hi,

I've recently acquired an Apple Mac Duo 2300c with the internal Global
Village modem with the black socket. I'm using Mac OS 8.1, Remote Access
3.0 and GV Powerport 2.5.5.
The modem initialises and dials correctly but I'm having problems
connecting to my ISP. Remote Access tells me that there is no carrier
signal detected. If I use an external modem (USR Courier) through the
modem/printer port it connects fine, this modem has a carrier detect
override dipswitch on it.
How can I get my internal GV modem to ignore the carrier detect signal?
Also, which would be the correct Apple modem script to use? I've tried all
the GV ones but none bypass the carrier signal.

many thanks

Robin
