Hope this question isn't to off the wall.
Does anyone with a 2300 want to trade there working trackpad
for my working trackball off my 280c. I know it would involve swapping
the top half of the lower cases. I just like the pad better than
the ball.

Thanks
Dean Reichert.

hi, dean, there have been people on this list who have wanted to do the
reverse, so i'm sure someone out there will respond positively. i wonder,
though, if the 280 logic board will run the trackpad--i seem to have read
somewhere that it won't (whereas the 2300 board will run the trackball). i
know that physically, there shouldn't be a problem switching--the cables
will connect where they should (i open and swap duo parts and cases a
lot--just haven't done the trackball/trackpad dance).

anyone else know for sure?

cheers
jose (a trackpad man myself, and therefore keenly interested)
