I did try this in order to swap my 280c trackball with my 2300 trackpad. I
installed the Trackpad control panel on my 280c and installed the trackpad (all
of the connectors are identical to that of the trackball). However, it did not
work. I really wanted it too so I didn't have to buy another trackball. Unless
I omitted some step or necessary extension, or if it will only work with a
certain MAC OS (I think I was using OS 8.1 at the time), the trackpad will not
work on the 280c. Hope I'm wrong.
