Hi Folks, Thought I'd report on how I fixed my missing internal port connection on my missing PPP control panel, in case anyone is interested. I tried the suggestion of zapping my PRAM, I also checked the apple TIL on PPP and apparently on an earlier version and with sys 7.5.x there was a bug which could be remedied if on the express modem control panel you turned off the 'use internal model port' option at the bottom of the general - neither of which worked. In the latter case I didn't even have the option on the control panel. Finally conflict catcher told me that there was a problem with the fax extension (also loaded as part of the express modem software), et voila, the offending internal modem port came back into my PPP control panel.
