I've been using the Ricochet for six months now on my
2400. The range seems to be pretty good. It claims to
be 38.4k but if feels 28.8k. Remember that down load
speeds are dictated by signal strength. If you do get
one, I would recommend getting the SX. The old model
will work, but is not upgradable. The rumor I heard
from a Ricochet employee is that when the 128k goes
public, then the SX can be upgraded to 56k. One thing
I have to say is that it is reliable. No busy signals,
ever.

PS I was thinking of buying some Metrocom stock when
it
was $21. My thinking was I'll wait till it falls below
$20. Today it closed at $93!
