This is the "tick of death", which is due to a blown capacitor in the power
supply.
Three possible solutions:
1) Replace the capacitor (about $1.50 in parts, including capacitor and
screws)
2) Replace the power supply (???$50 to $70 depending on who does it)
3) Get a new Dock (one sold for $17.50 on eBay)
