Sorry to repost, but I would have missed any replies. Please post again if
you replied to this.
Well, I wiped my hard drive, and tried to re-format it. It is, indeed, a
Conner 240. I could not replace the Silverlining driver with the Apple one,
even after wiping the Silverlining driver. I can never get the "Update"
option in HDSC setup to turn on, and when I try to use HD SC setup to
format, it dies at the verification stage, saying it couldn't verify the
data. I also have this happen if I try to test the drive. However, when I
run the tests in Silverlining, I find no problems, and everything goes
fine. At least until I try to sleep the drive, then I get the dreaded "A
disk has been remove that was needed. Please put it back!" message. Sigh. I
suppose I'll never get it to sleep. So much for portability. :-) Thanks for
the suggestions and help.
