Just some feedback on the Pismo and memory upgrades (is Pismo discussion
allowed here?)...

The physical portion of the upgrade is a breeze --- pop off the keyboard,
unscrew 2 (or 3 if you're getting that the second module) Phillips screws
and your upgrading.

HOWEVER, this machine would not start at all when we put it back together -
and it started to get hot sitting there - while it was off (and not
connected to the wall charger).

The Apple Tech today taught me that I was 15 seconds away from a repair --
apparently you need to occasionally reset the power manager when you make
these sort of changes - holding the reset button in on the back of the
machine for 20+ seconds did the trick.

Also - I noticed while he was doing a quick debug when I walked in that he
held down the shift, control, option, and power keys for 5-10 seconds - what
is the purpose of this combination?

And finally - this machine came through the Apple Education store and was
delivered last week. My machine arrives tomorrow from my local Mac dealer
here in Portland.

Regards,
Dean
