Corina,

I had this same dilema a few months ago. I saw a great deal on a refurbed
scanner. Several people on another list that I subscribe to strongly
recommended against buying a scanner used or refurbed. Apparently, these are
easily messed up. I asked for suggestions, and the Scanmaker x6 was
suggested. I think it ran me about $100 in September. Works great. The
included software was very intuitive, and I really like it. Zero problems so
far.
