Hi,

Does anyone know of a good source (i.e. cheap and new) for a replacement
PRAM battery for the Duo 230 in the U.K.?

I have had the Duo apart and can see that the PRAM battery is actually made
up of two lithium cells soldered together with the connector soldered onto
the two-cell pack. I'm happy to make this pack up again if I can source the
lithium cells. Has anyone done this successfully or are there problems with
the procedure?

A colleague suggested replacing the PRAM battery with a backup capacitor
circuit. Has anyone performed such a modification to a Duo before? This
would solve the PRAM battery issue for ever.

Thanks,

Michael
