I'm also a Solaris user/fan and own a 2400c for my
home needs. I don't use any software to down load
pictures off of my Canon A50. Since the Canon uses
Compact Flash, all I do is put the CF card into the
adapter and into the PC-Card slot. The CF card shows
up on the desktop as any other media. So, I just drag
and dope files. Very fast and easy.
