Check out www.bias-inc.com.  Bias (Berkeley Integrated Audio Systems) 
is the maker of Peak, a great 2-track digital audio editor program. 
I just noticed on their website that they have a PB suite which 
includes a PCMCIA I/O card.  Sadly, I don't have any information on 
how good it is.  Enjoy!
