Thanks for the suggestions.

This "quirk" started after a clean install of 8.0/8.1 from a new CD. I'd
prefer to not go thru all that again. It was a bit of work as you know.

I'm not familiar with doing a power manager reset. Also, I didn't find
anything in the User's Guide. Suggestions?

I forgot to say in my original memo that the quirk only happens in the
dock. It seems to work fine while operating with the power adapter or on
battery.
