I'm currently connected using a TDK global freedom 5660 to my Nokia 5146.
This is one of the few PCMCIA cards I've found which have mac drivers and
happily support my phone - as far as I know you can get conectors for
motorola and Ericsson phones as well.
This should work fine for the G3 powerbook although I still don't have a
solution for the 2300 except possibly an acoustic coupler of some type
using a headset input - this might work although it'd be a little
unreliable...
