oh, i see. i didn't realize...in that case, you might consider getting a
small 5 port ethernet hub (10baset should do fine, unless you'd like to pay
more for 100baset hub or switch). a decent one should cost in the area of
$40. you'd need to use a standard cable to connect the dsl modem to a
standard port on the hub - not the 'uplink' or 'cascade' port you might find
on some hubs. next, connect your pc card's cable to another port on the hub.
provided your dsl modem is configuring itself properly and your loop is
clear, you should be up and running (did they give you details on your
tcp/ip settings?).

the added benefit, of course, is you now have a few ports left over for
adding other devices...such as an airport base station (!).
