in re the discussion about microphones, adapters, and viavoice...

[EMAIL PROTECTED] mentioned using the andrea mc-100 adapter (see
andrea's catalog at this url:

i've researched andrea's mics in the past, but talking with their
customer service people indicated that their mics were incompatible with
macs, and although i asked, they couldn't tell me why their products were
incompatible. they also couldn't describe a workaround.

question: does this mc-100 device enable the use of pc-style CTI
(computer-telephony interface) microphones with macs?

the mc-100 appears to raise the output voltage of the sound interface to
line-level. if that's all it took to make a "pc-only" headset compatible
w/mac, i'm left wondering about the response of andrea's customer service
person....

any information welcome.
