Both the Duo series and the 2400 are considered 'sub-portables.'

The list says it is:
"A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables."

I have owned/used in order:
A Duo 230
A Duo 250
A Duo 280 (the active matrix greyscale one... man I loved that machine!)
A Duo 2300
and now 2 2400c's

I read the Duo messages in case there is some issue I can help with,
or provide some advice on. I just scan them really, as I haven't used
a Duo in over four years, so the knowledge is rusty.

I love my 2400(s) even more than any Duo, even the 280. For me the
core issue is portability. In fact I used a Newton 2000 as my primary
computer between the 2300 and the 2400. I like the MacOS, but I won't
suffer a seven pound 'portable' computer. The Duo 'concept' was a
secondary issue for me, and in fact it became a nuisance over time as
the need to carry around a dock for all seasons added to the load.

I suspect many, if not most, of us share that (utmost portability)
sentiment. That is why we are here on this list together.
