For minidocks, try Olympia Computer Systems in Wimbledon on 020 8944 9003.
I haven't bought from them for a year or two, but even if they hadn't any
in stock they used to be able to get hold of minidocks within a week or
two. I got my third from them and it's the only one that's never given me
any trouble.
I still find the Duo the perfect academic machine. With a minidock and a
VGA adaptor, I do lectures out of the Duo daily (using MORE, which is far
superior to PowerPoint, and free); it's a doddle to set up, and has always
given completely problem-free plug & play. I wouldn't use anything else.
Only drawback is that I never managed to get video mirroring to work under
7.1, which I'd otherwise rather be using on anything below a 2300. But MORE
does mirroring anyway, so it's not much of an issue. The only machine I
could imagine being even better would be a 2400 - but those really are are
heavily outnumbered in the UK by hen's teeth. (Mind you, the hens in
Chicken Run have teeth in abundance... Maybe I could make a 2400 out of
plasticine.)
