I love the 2400c, awesome portable, but NOTHING so far beats the quickness,
clarity, and reliability of the new powerbook g3 pismo firewire models.
Can't say enough GOOD, and I have the dvd module which is also of course the
cd rom reader, a superdisk/floppy module incase someone in my consulting biz
hands me one of those discs or a floppy, and the zip disc module.
I have on order the very cool slender Xcaret cdrw module which will provide
me with the all around perfect machine to take on the road.
With at least 8 hrs of battery ability, that is really the portable of
choice, even though I could never part with the size and lighter weight of
the 2400c, and with my external battery pack, I can get 5 hrs extra, and in
the car, just plugging into the car plug seems to do me just fine.
But for digital video editing, with 520 mgs of ram and 18 gigs of hard drive,
the ideal dream team is having both the Pismo AND the 2400c.

just my two cents.
