They are not obfuscated in the archives nor the messages you receive, only on the web front end. Also the old tla-archive names are probably not of big interest anymore. At least I removed all my public tla-archives and migrate all my stuff to bzr nowadays. You also would not want to cut&paste patches or bundles from a html document. But my email address has already been harvested by spammers, so it would not harm me.
