Wow, I really opened a can of worms there!  My original question about
LoudTwitter was just to see if there would be any way of automatically blocking
the entries from my reading page - not because I believe in any form of
censorship - I don't - but because it's MY reading page and it's a pain
scrolling past dozens of LoudTwitter entries trying to find the one post I'm
looking for.

Whoever first suggested the one-click collapse of posts - what a fantastic
idea!  Not only to make the reading page more manageable, but to be able to see
at a glance where you are in your reading list.  Even better if it is possible
to carry over the settings into multiple sessions.

I am firmly against any form of automatic cut - if someone posts a long
rambling missive with lots of photos, that is their choice.  It's MY choice to
have them as a friend and to have them on my reading list.  That's going to be
one of the joys of DW - none of the heavy-handed Because We Said So that seems
to be going round so many other sites right now.

....Okay, the ability to collapse a post with one click would actually be
really cool. I'm still firmly against automatically cutting or
collapsing anything, but the idea that if I were scrolling down my reading list
and saw some monstrosity of a post, I could just click a button and smash that
thing down to its subject line? Sweet. I can also imagine people using it to
mark a post as read. It would be even more useful if it persisted across
sessions so someone could easily find where they left off on their reading
list. Anyone feel like writing a script to see if it's possible?
