I'm sure someone else could tell you more definitively, but I don't know anyone else who's doing what you're trying to do, and I suspect that if you try, you'll be the first. The only people I know running dw on their own systems are developers who don't mind if it breaks every so often. So, I imagine you'll be in for a bit of a bumpy ride, but if you're up for it, be sure to document what you do for those who come after!
