Jim, great memories.. was calling CQ as WN8JPE on a cold Ohio evening in winter of 63. Guy came back to me over and over but I never heard such a strange call. He was determined to work me and kept calling. It was EL2AD in Liberia! My parents and schoolmates were aghast when I showed em' the QSL 73, Gary K7ZD

For whatever reason I looked back at my first log last night. I was WN4PXP.
And what do I find ?

3:36 3:40 August 3 21.104 KP6AZ Jim Palmyra 579 339. A few years later I
worked a few more KP6's. At the time I had no idea that he was some what rare
DX.

You might want to check back 50 years ago you may have worked a good one
without knowing it.
