Hello! Just to update everyone on the short Dauphin Island expedition... KV4T is single band 30m right now and is going almost 24 hours, so please listen for him if you need this island for a new one. He will attempt to be on 10.111, but has had trouble with QRM. Allan is using an FT 920 with 100 watts to a 1/2 wave dipole. There is a possibility for another antenna should things get too slow on 30m...
WG4Y (Rebekah) and WN4C (Angela, a.k.a "Rebekah's mom") should be active on 20m starting around 21:00 UTC today (July 16). They will be on SSB, hopefully on the IOTA frequency, but unsure of this as well. They will be using a 1/2 wave dipole as well with an FT 990, also running 100 watts. I am obviously not there as we had hoped I would be (scheduling conflict), but Allan and I plan on making a return trip sometime in the future. The group will be leaving Monday morning, so I would expect things to close down around 18 July 5:00 UTC, but don't know the exact schedule. I will be in touch with Allan throughout the weekend... should you have any questions feel free to email me off the reflector. Good luck to all who need this for a new IOTA! 73, Bridget, KS4YT :0) [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---------------------------------------------------------- Archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] THE DXR is sponsored by the North Jersey DX Association.
