Ok I concede.  3x2 would have been  more accurate.  I recall ragchewing with
friends on 10 meters during the last solar minimum whose signals were
"readable with considerate difficulty", and "very weak" or even "faint".  We
digress from the point however.  The guy was asking whether or not a 2x2
report was acceptable for DXCC.  I dare say a 2x1 would even qualify for a
valid exchange of signal reports under DXCC.
