Title:
Unity hangs when no windows are visible

Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
In 12.04, if I minimize all windows, Unity becomes completely
unresponsive. Programs still run in the background (for example,
Rhythmbox continues playing) even though I can't interact with them.
The mouse cursor still moves, but all clicks and keyboard commands
  result in nothing happening.
