Hi all - I have been watching this list for some time now and it goes without saying that I'm impressed with the knowledge displayed. I can find my way around the keyboard but comparing my computer knowledge to most of yours is like comparing putt putt golf to the PGA tour.
I would like the opinion of those with Windows 98 and XP experience. I have the opportunity to upgrade from 98 to XP via my sons access to same. I have a small business that uses Word, Excel & Access. My ham needs are tying my Elecraft K2 and Dx4win to the computer (PSK-31, too). I also want to hold on to a dos related programs. They are cw tutors for the most part, such as the Mil and Codemaster V, both working quite well under 98. Is it best for me to upgrade (no cost to me), or should I stick with 98? What does XP give me that 98 does not have? I have Dx4win loaded although I have yet to put it to use. Thanks for the bandwidth & 73 Terry KF4FD
