Oh, it's possible Wendell... just ask Murphy... scenarios I've seen include failed hard disk, bad memory corruption, virus attacks, operator error, the computer can be stolen, or destroyed... it's important to employ "geographic diversity". The diskette idea is a good one... for larger logs... transfer a copy over the network... or backup to a Zip or tape drive or writable CD. Keep a copy somewhere other than in the shack. One good idea, and it costs nothing, is exchange a copy of your logs weekly by e-mail with a friend.
