Hello Radi! I agree with you, but as far I'm know, there's an option to actually disable the mode window even working with the radio connected, but DX spots shouldn't affect this widow as stated on help pages: ---------------------------------------- The mode for the QSO.
The Mode field is initially set to the value specified in the default QSO. All QSO entered subsequently will have the same mode setting as the last QSO entered. If a radio is connected and QSOs are added in real-time, the mode is continuously obtained from the radio until the QSO is entered in the log. There is an option to ignore the mode from the radio, Main Window | Radio | Ignore Mode in real-time. This can be useful when adding RTTY QSOs for example with the radio in LSB mode. When using a mode for an award, the QSO modes are mapped to the more generic modes; CW, Phone and RTTY. Some modes, like SSTV, are mapped to phone, but it is still custom to exchange RST reports with three digits. The table below summarizes the mappings and the RST defaults. In the Pattern column, the letters have the following meaning: N Normal rs(t) as many digits as the default value A Aurora reports in the form: rsA, rsR, Rrs O Oscar reports; allows 59 for CW , and allows O as a report Mode Generic Default Pattern AM Phone 59 N ATV Phone 59 N CLOV RTTY 599 N CW CW 599 N A O FM Phone 59 N FSTV Phone 595 N GTOR RTTY 599 N JT44 RTTY O O MTOR RTTY 599 N PACK RTTY 599 N PSK RTTY 599 N PSK31 RTTY 599 N PTOR RTTY 599 N RTTY RTTY 599 N SSB Phone 59 N A O SSTV Phone 595 N FSK44 RTTY 599 N O --------------------- Tks for you help anyway. In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Carlos, Yes, the command "ignore mode in real time" is supposed to do it, but Help doesn't say that DXspots do NOT affect the Mode change! I agree with you that they should not affect the Mode; they should do it ONLY if you decide to click on a spot to select a DX station and call it in the mode it was using, then, after QSO being logged, the logging window mode should revert to the mode you have selected as default. This is a small bug and I am confident Paul will fix it in some of the next releases. 73, Radi F6GNZ -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, February 14, 2005 1:18 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Ignore mode in real time and spots!
