Hello. Is there a way to avoid the QSO window being updated when receiving
spots? If no, there would be a nice feature to be able to enable/disable
the auto updating...

Best greetings...

Subject: [Dx4win] dx4win 7.01 and Windows XP - driver vichw11.sys
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hi everybody,

I've a notebook HP Pavilion ze4805us, AMD Athlon XP-M 2800+,
256 MB RAM, Windows XP SP2 with latest updates.
Dx4win is version 7.01.

I can't run it under lower user rights like user or power user,
only as administrator :-(

When I try to run dx4win as power user I get this:

Please copy the driver: from blabla to blabla
The Appendix Files has more information about this

but the driver is there.

What I have to do if I want to run it as user or power user?

TIA

Andy,

I also use Ve7CC in conjunction with DX4WIN. My understanding is that what
ever you set up VE7CC to filter, i.e. in your case only to show 6m spots,
this is ignored by DX4WIN which continues to show all spots received. I
believe you need to make the filtering process within DX4WIN. I have not
done this as I don?t wish to make such a filter but I have seen these
comments made here in this reflector.
Not a complete answer but I hope of use??

GE all,
After reading recent mail and the good things being said about VE7CC
I
decided to try it out myself. I am impressed! I have it working FB as a
stand alone and also working thru DX4Win, however on the VE7CC dx window I
have it set to show only 6m spots. When I look at the DX4Win packet window
all the spots on all bands I have selected in set up are appearing.

Any ideas anybody?

My favorite is the VE7CC AR Cluster/DX Spider User program. It can be
downloaded at:

http://www.ve7cc.net/

Its very easy to setup to work with DX4WIN, and the details can be found at:

http://www.bcdxc.org/ve7cc/logging.htm

VE7CC's software can be configured to display only the spots you want, on
any band, from any continent, any cluster, any mode.

Connecting DX4WIN to the software is pretty easy.

1 - Start VE7CC and it will automatically connect to your favorite DX
cluster if configured to do so.
2 - Connect DX4WIN's internet function to"local" and data from VE7CC is
ported to DX4WIN.

I've used Fabio's DXTELNET for years, and it too is a great program.
