I included the OE prefix in the dx4win.awd, so I will be able to add the
4UxVIC QSOs to the WAE.

Sorry to hear that Garry.

As far as I know things DO get backed up. I.e. the "modified" meter doesn't
lie. And if DX4WIN crashes, you *should* get a prompt the next time you start
it, to try to recover the backup file.

There are 3 possible places to look for your missing QSOs:

   dx4win/save/NI6T.~XL
   dx4win/dx4win.dxb
   dx4win/dx4win.~xb

You must copy these to a file named <something>.DXL then open each one in turn
and see if you can find the missing QSOs. The file with the most bytes may
have them.

I started an app. note about DX4WIN and backups but it spiraled out of control
and I have not had the chance to edit it down.

Ignore the message sent earlier (below). The backup log file *did* have the
most recent QSO--I don't know why I did not see it when it first opened.

I had thought that DX4WIN autosaved, but recent events suggest otherwise.

I have had several entered QSO's go through the "Modified" sequence --and
then be lost when something rebooted Windows. The termination backup did not
save the QSO's. Is there an antidote, or must one manually save the log at
all times?
