I have experienced this also. In my portable computer hp omnibook Piii 850 with 256 ram running xp from time to time i had this. When i shut off dx4win and restart the problem was gone. In my desktop (Piv 3,2 with 1gb ram) never had this problem. This started after updating to 6.0. I have re-installed xp in my portable recently and i didn't noticed this agn. Kostas sv1dpi
