Before I actually print my labels I select DESTINATION: PREVIEW to look at my labels print page and make sure all elements of an address fits inside the label window. I note the calls of any whose address extends out of the label's space. For those that don't fit I close the PRINT LABEL window and go to those QSL's that need fixing. In the main QSO window I click on the QSL Mgr box and hit CTL+E. This opens the QSL Mgr address window. I then edit this window to make the persons address fit better.
In your example of G3TXF if you cut and paste his address from QRZ.COM you get: Nigel CAWTHORNE, G3TXF FALCONS, ST GEORGE'S AVENUE, WEYBRIDGE SURREY KT13 0BS, England - U.K. The word WEYBRIDGE causes the label to be printed out of bounds.I then edit it to read: Nigel CAWTHORNE, G3TXF FALCONS, ST GEORGE'S AVE, WEYBRIDGE SURREY KT13 0BS, U.K.I shorten AVENUE to AVE and move WEYBRIDGE to a new line. Now Nigel's address will fit inside the label box just fine.If you are dealing with a really big address and this method doesn't work then try going to a smaller font.GL & 73_______________________________________________________ Alan Zack Amateur Radio Station K7ACZ Official USCG Auxiliary Comm Station Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Delta Rocket Quality Engineer, The Boeing Company, Retired Aviation Chief Warrant Officer, U.S. Coast Guard, Retired ----- Original Message ----- From: "Karl Oyster, K1KO" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "DX4WIN" <Dx4win@mailman.qth.net> Sent: Monday, February 11, 2008 5:55 PM Subject: [Dx4win] Print Labels > Hi Guys... > > Anybody know how to avoid having addresses on "Manager Address" labels > avoid printing onto the next label to the right side when the address > is quite involved.
