Mine are not associated at all. Anyway, you should be able to browse for the DX4WIN file when you get to the point of Open With. Easiest is to go to your save directory. Right click on the DXL file, PROPERTIES, hit next to opens with 'CHANGE', choose BROWSE and find the DX4WIN.EXE file. /Dan KI6X
_____ From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of WN6K - Paul Dorey Sent: Tuesday, January 20, 2009 5:34 PM To: 'DX4WIN POSTINGS' Subject: [Dx4win] Reassociation of DXL files -Help I accidentally mis-associated the extension of the DX4Win DXL files somehow (don't know how but some late night befoogle I guess) and I cannot get the <filename>.DXL to be directly associated again with DX4WIN. I have done the "Microsoft" [Windows XP] stuff and it will not let me select the DX4WIN.exe as the program to re-associate the files with. If I open DX4Win and do a File, Open and select the desired file, all is fine and normal. But before this mess, I could use just a link to each filename.dxl and it would open DX4Win properly. Without tiptoeing into the Registry???? Or some other place one fears to go, I am at a loss. I have reinstalled DX4Win but the DXL files still remain mis appropriated. Any ideas? w...@sbcglobal.net and/or via the reflector. WN6K, Paul
