HI Gary, You would think that would be the case but doing this has no
effect on the mode/bands in the log entry. I have had several versions over
many years and they are all the same. I edit the bands and modes in
Preferences but they all still show up in the log entry. Several friends have
the same problem. I am not sure what setting up the station band/mode
preferences does as it has no effect on the log entry selections. If yours
does work several of us have something wrong. Let me know. I am now running
version 8.02

You can set up DX4WIN to exclude bands (and modes) you do not use. File/Setup
Parmeters/Station Ditto for the major operating awards.

I agree with the post by Vigis LY2CX about the problem with the 3 digit RST
SSB option. Could there possibly be a selection to allow setting SSB for 2
or 3 digit in Preferences? I enter a lot of Q's from paper and it is a
breeze with CW QSO's but a snag on SSB.

While I am on my soapbox I may as well mention the thorn in my side in
having to go through all the bands I don't use to get to the one I need. 7
steps to get to 160 M. Using the mouse to slide to it is a distraction. If
a 2 nd digit could be recognized then it would only take 2 steps. ie 16 to
get 160, 12 go straight to 12 etc.
