Thanks for looking.  I suspect that similar firmware upgrades will be made
available for other Icom rigs in the coming weeks, so there will be a lot of
interest in having Paul look at what will need implementing in DX4win to
support reading split frequencies across a wide range of Icom transceivers.

It looks not that simple.
I compared the cat commands from the original release and what is changed in
the new release There are no new CI-V commands added Cmd 0F 00/01 is changed
from split off/on to read split setting 00/01 = off/on.

Cmd 1C is completely changed to what DX4WIN probably can to read the split
freq but the previous value-check for cmd 1C was never used in DX4WIN.
They were used to check if you were in RX/TX or to read the antenna tuner.
Think we have to wait after a solution from Paul
