Hello Dave, In that case, you should not need to edit anything. Make sure FT8 is enabled as a mode: File > Preferences > Station > Modes Make sure you have FT8 selected as a valid mode for any awards you chase: File > Awards > Valid Modes
In WSJT-X, do NOT check Convert Mode to RTTY or dB Report to Comments in File > Settings > Reporting. Now, you should (should being the operative word here!) be able to import your WSJT-X file directly, have the mode appear correctly, and have the signal reports appear in the proper fields.
