You can't rely on the file date of country.dat - it gets re-written every time you exit DX4WIN. Instead, try this. It has been this way for a long time: http://www.country-files.com/contest/#Version The instructions aren't technically correct for DX4WIN, but the same principle holds: In your logging program, try to log the callsign “VERSION” (on a DX cluster node, use the SH/H VERSION or SH/SUN VERSION command). Each version of the country files will return a different country (except for Win-Test, see #3 below). That country will be indicated in the release notes for that version. I need to add this information to this page, but I have not had time: http://www.country-files.com/dx4win-info/ -- Jim Reisert AD1C, <jjreis...@alum.mit.edu>, http://www.ad1c.us ______________________________________________________________ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
