I use WIN4K3Suite along with com0com. I can have 6 other programs working into my K3S simultaneously and is rock solid. VA2FSQ is the author and he makes it for Icom, Yeasu and Elecraft.

Tom has a writeup of exactly what you need to do here: https://icom.va2fsq.com/third-party-software-and-hardware-integration/ If I get some time over the weekend I'll see if I can set this up, but the general concept is you use Win4Icom to listen on the "Real" serial port, then it replicates out to the virtual ports. Then, in DX4WIN and WSJT-X, you use different ports and everything thinks it's got control of the radio. -----Original Message----- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net <dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net> On Behalf Of Jim Reisert AD1C Sent: Friday, February 5, 2021 12:17 PM To: ON4AOI <on4...@skynet.be> Cc: DX4WIN Reflector <dx4win@mailman.qth.net> Subject: Re: [Dx4win] FW: DX4WIN + WSJT-X COM Port Control On Fri, Feb 5, 2021 at 4:45 AM Guy ON4AOI wrote: > 3th possibility is for newer transceivers that have comport or CIV and > also USB (-comport). > Attached is a picture of a demo setup. Now that Guy mentions it, I believe I am using the USB port on the back of my IC-7610 for WSJT-X, and the microKEYER for DX4WIN and Write Log (the latter two of which I also can use simultaneously). The radio's USB interface are a requirement for using Win4ICOM: https://icom.va2fsq.com/ I have played around with this but my trial of the software ran out. It might also provide a second COM Port for radio control. Finally, I used LP-Pan when I had my YAESU FTDX-5000 as my primary radio. They recommend a particular port splitter to use with it. That's another option, and I don't believe that port splitter is specific to the LP-Pan software. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, <jjreis...@alum.mit.edu>, https://www.ad1c.us ______________________________________________________________ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
