Hi, As a new user of DXBase I had a few questions. If there is some online source of answers to these newbie questions let me know and I won't use up everyone's bandwidth.
1) I usually use DXsummit to get DX spots off the internet, can I use DXBase to retrieve these spots ? As far as I can tell u need to use packet sites and telnet connections etc etc but I am very unfamiliar with those. 2) In my old loging program ( LogIC 5 ) these was a report called "Cards needed" ie if you selected an award such as DXCC 10m this report would print out all the contact you had made with each country, but only for those countries which you did not already have marked as confirmed. The report would also show which of these contacts you had already sent a card to. I used it to define which cards I needed to send out to either get that new country or to ensure that after 6 months I could QSL a new person in that country and make sure I'd get a card and confirm the country. Is there anything similar in DXBase ?? 3)When logging, if two addresses come up in the QSL Info window I always want to use the CDROM address, is there anyway to make that default 'cause it appears that the choice always returns to DXbase. Or am I missing something and I really should want the dxbase address. 4) Does anyone have a walk thru of the QSL'ing process that I can read. For example, same I have just logged 5 contacts, how do I get address and QSL ladels printed. Thanks for everyones help Brian KD7Z
