I believe the help file does describe this as taken from the CW Interface
Overview section of the help file listed below:

  DXbase supports most of the features of this external board that are
related to the sending of CW.  The board does include other features
unrelated to CW and these are not controlled by the DXbase software.
Additional information about the W5XD Multi+ External Keyer is available
from the makers of the contest software called Writelog.

Requirements:

1. Serial port

2. W5XD Multi+ external keyer board

3. No special drivers required.

4. No impact from sound files playing
