I think this is normal. I'm sure winXP installs a sample hosts file, so when you install DXbase it sees that there is already a hosts file and doesn't overwrite it. I'm certainly glad it acts this way, as I would have other troubles if it overwrote my existing hosts file. All you have to do is copy the DXbase hosts files to the appropriate folder, overwriting the default one XP installed. Or, if you need to preserve the contents of the XP hosts file, just cut and paste the info from the DXbase file into the XP file. Be sure to use notepad or some other non-formatting, pure ASCII text editor.
